I tend to think that everything counts. In the end, each life is no more than the sum of contingent facts, a chronicle of chance intersections, of flukes, of random events that divulge nothing but their own lack of purpose.

DOWNPOUR
What do you choose to show people? What do you choose to hide from people? Do you hide from your closest friends, family? Are there things you're even afraid to admit to yourself? The piece explores how one manages internal chaos in a world that doesn’t slow down. In an attempt to gain control, we switch between these two modes of living, presenting an idealistic version of ourselves while our true self suffers behind a mask. This switching back and forth proves to be unsustainable and though we can acknowledge everyone has their own struggles, no one can really fix our problems but ourselves. From placing the blame on external factors to realizing the problem is from within, this acceptance comes with an overwhelming sense of loneliness and helplessness, all you can do is laugh.

then what?
(a continuation of “it’s out of our hands”)
An exploration on the illusion of control and how no matter how hard we practice and study, we never truly have control. A continuation of “it’s out of our hands!” where the end of the piece concludes with the acceptance that life is a chaotic ride we must embrace, “then what?” explores what this acceptance looks like.

Mere Image
An exploration on merging and separating from another person as an exploration of self and identity. How inspiration from someone or a relationship with someone can sometimes turn into the desire to become or merge with them. After taking a step back, you don’t recognize yourself and you realize you may be losing yourself to become someone else.
